Santa’s Miracle Rod is one of the biggest rewards in the Fischmas update, and while it looks complicated at first, the process is actually very straightforward once you know the order. This guide walks you through the entire questline in a clean, natural flow so you don’t get stuck or confused midway.
How to Get Santa’s Miracle Rod in FISCH (Fischmas Rod)
Step 1: Enter the Fischmas Area
Start by going to Moosewood.
Near the usual area, you’ll see the Magical Train.
- Press E on the train
- This takes you directly to the Fischmas event area
Once you arrive, head toward Northstar Castle.
Step 2: Reach Santa’s Workshop
At Northstar Castle:
- Pull the lever near the gate to open it
- Enter the Winter Village
- Move toward the back corner of the village
Here, you’ll find Santa’s Workshop.
Inside the Toy Factory, talk to Santa. He will ask you to help four elves who are currently on duty.
Step 3: Complete the 4 Elf Quests (Any Order)
You can complete these in any order. All of them are very simple.
Elf Quest 1 – Clean Wrapping Paper
- Find 5 pieces of wrapping paper around the factory
- They look like white cylindrical tubes
- Pick them up and return to the elf
Elf Quest 2 – Find Ribbons
- Locate 3 ribbons
- One is on a couch
- One is on a table
- One is in a corner of the room
Elf Quest 3 – Hang Stockings
- Pick up 5 stockings from the floor
- Hang them on the fireplace
Elf Quest 4 – Missing Hat
- Go to the second floor of the factory
- The missing hat is sitting on a table
After completing all four, return to Santa.
Step 4: Santa Reveals the Truth
Once the elf quests are done, Santa reveals himself as Carbonmeister.
He then gives you a new task: find the real Santa.
Step 5: Find Santa at the Northern Expedition
Santa is not in the Fischmas area yet.
To find him:
- Travel to the Northern Expedition
- Prepare proper gear (Winter Cloak, Winter Gloves, Advanced Oxygen Tank)
- Make your way toward the Overgrowth Caves area
- Instead of turning away, climb the mountain nearby
At the end of this climb, you’ll find Santa with his broken sleigh.
Talk to him and receive a Magical Snow Globe.
Step 6: Teleport Santa Back to Fischmas
- Open your inventory
- Use (shake) the Magical Snow Globe
You and Santa will teleport back to the Fischmas area.
Santa will run back to the Toy Factory, and you’ll receive a title.
Now you can continue the main questline.
Step 7: Santa’s Fetch Quests (Fishing Tasks)
Talk to Santa again in the Toy Factory. He will give you multiple fishing objectives.
Quest 1
- Catch 5 Gingerbread Men
- Catch 2 Glasses of Eggnog
Important: These must be fresh, not traded.
Fish in Northstar Village rivers to get them easily.
Quest 2
- Catch 3 Santa’s Presents
Quest 3
- Catch 6 Hot Cocoa
Each time, return to Santa after completing the requirement.
Step 8: Final Delivery Quest
This is the last part before getting the rod.
Santa will ask you to:
- Deliver 10 Presents to Snowmen at Glacial Ridge
- Trade 3 Presents with other players
Snowman Deliveries
- Go to Glacial Ridge
- Find 10 different snowmen
- Interact with them and give each one a present
Trading Presents
- Walk up to another player
- Hold your present
- Press the interaction key to give it
- Do this with 3 different players
This is not traditional trading, just direct gifting.
Step 9: Claim Santa’s Miracle Rod
Once both tasks are completed:
- Return to Santa
- Talk to him one final time
You will receive the Santa’s Miracle Rod.
Santa’s Miracle Rod looks intimidating at first, but the questline is actually well-paced and beginner-friendly. As long as you follow the steps in order, you’ll unlock the rod without any frustration.
